Years visited: 1999-2016 - On the occasion of its 300 years of existence, the muddy town on the eastern Gulf of Finland has prepped up its inner city for the many visitors. Security is still an issue, small crime and mafia like banditism leave you with that mixed feeling of anger and enjoyment. Best time to visit is between May and September, go see the many huge parks and castles in the southern outskirts.
