Yo, sisters and brothers, welcome to da king of Reggae music special page. Soon I'll have more info on my archives which began way back in da 70's. You know, all dat golden disco fever years ... Brethen and I were listening to da music from Jamaica. Many a golden sound to be found and rare recordings from Britain of the ol' days in my boxes. It all began one sunny day when I'd been in love with one sista and heard Bob Marley singing 'Kaya'. Good record that.
At the time I didn't know that top Jamaican talent was behind that song: Lee 'Scratch' Perry. Wicked man. Soon I discovered more reggae thanks to British Forces Radio (BFBS) in Germany. I learned to love roots, dub and most original stuff. Don't bother me with rock and pop from Third World, Inner Circle, I Jahman, or dat Lucky dude. Nah good, dem play for deh white man business.
I'm into Dub, be it King Tubby from 1975 or the latest ambient jungle! Greetings to all lovers of techno, many good riddims, keep going! I love way deep and heavy sounds. You ever heard Jah Shaka live? Me was in Notting Hill Carnival in 1979. No big riot but babylon on every corner. Where I lived some time ago my soundsystem made shake the walls. Then da dog of deh neighbors dead. Now I'm in solid new building and only from time to time neighbor bang head against wall.

Anyway, many good vibes around da area. Several of my all time best tracks come from da master producer Lee Perry. Most of his best records are on CD today, check'em out: Super Ape, Blackboard Jungle, Scratch and Company, Roastfish Collieweed and Cornbread, Return of the Super Ape, and not to forget the excellent 'From the Heart of the Congos'. Wicked album and sorounded by dub versions and singles. Most of that I have in one form or the other in my archives, for sale now, check da list below. One song I'm still looking for is 'robber's roust' by Mikey Dread and Lee Perry - you have it?

Mint: The record itself is in new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.
Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and or creasing.
Good : The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
Used : The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

Ok, you made it through da list. Now, you want to know more about those records? On my 1997 trip to Hawaii I browsed through da TowerRecord store and what did I find? An excellent book about our favorite music! Trojan's Steve Barrow put a combined history / discography into a 300 page dictionary. There's every style of Reggae from the bass and the drum through the original Raggamuffin to latest hip-hop influences. Recommended to all of you.
Oh, an go visit da brothers an sisters in Shashamani-Land!
Thanks for having a butcher's, see ya on JahTours International.
